Medical Assistant Supervi


Summary:
Leads Medical Assistants and other staff as assigned in day to day clinic operations.
Is responsible for orientation and competency training for MA's.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Graduate of Accredited Medical Assisting Program Current Certification with AAMA, or other nationally recognized certification.
CPR certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
Key Success Factors:
Medical Office experience required.
Knowledge of FQHC's preferred
Essential Functions:
Oversee and manage clinical flow, the interaction of all MA/CNA staff, and all daily functions.
Coordinate scheduling of all MA/CNA staff and their PTO and sick call.
Coordinate floor assignments, expectations, and deliverables aligning with the efficient care process.
Ensure all MAs/CNAs provide quality medical care by providing comprehensive training and overseeing ongoing competency.
Inspire fellow team members to fulfill Heritage's mission to provide compassionate quality care to our community.
Role Model and promote a positive work environment in which team members willingly serve each other and refuse to tolerate unacceptable treatment of others.
Manage and train MAs/CNAs to continually improve performance and skill level.
Recognize achievements and give team members Performance Evaluations.
Delegate and manage non-care related tasks like temperature logs, immunization logs, stocking, inventory, etc.
Train all MA/CNA team members to provide outstanding customer service.
With the support of the Clinic Director, work to resolve conflict among team members and take necessary disciplinary measures.
Ensure that all MA/CNA staff are following OSHA, HIPAA and other government regulations.
Ensure that all MA/CNA staff comply with Heritage Health policies.
As a working lead, is able and willing to perform any MA/CNA tasks.
Responsible for completing MA/CNA tasks when need arises.
Attend management/other meetings as scheduled.
Participate on committees as necessary.
Order supplies/MMN medications.
Perform yearly inventory.
Assist providers/MAs/CNAs with emergency care of patients in the clinic.
Heritage Health staff are active in our Patient-Centered Medical Home model of care.
This role is designated as part of the Heritage Health PCMH Care Team.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
